Hello, and welcome to the Maschka's Sausage Shop homepage.
A little bit about us.
We are a small business located in Ashton, Nebraska. We make and sell a variety of homemade sausages and other products. Our ring bologna has been around Ashton since the early 1900's, where you could have found it here in town at Maschka's Market.
Back then, the main maker was my Great Grandfather, Ollie Maschka.

My Grandpa, Ken Maschka, started helping him with the process when he was 12 years old. Eventually Ken took over and expanded our menu, while making sausage off and on over the years. (I will add an action shot of him when I find one. This will have to work for now.
Skip ahead a few years and you end up with me, Jeff Harrington. (I'll have to find an action shot of myself as well, but this will have to do. I'm the taller one.)
I've been helping my Grandpa at the shop for somewhere around 9 or 10 years with small jobs here and there. About three years ago he finally trusted me enough to let me in on the secret recipes. The first year I helped him make everything the summer before I went to college. He tried to close up the shop for good that winter, but I wasn't having any of that. I came back the next Summer and decided to try running the shop myself, and I've been making bologna ever since.

Important Information
I (Jeff) am still in college for another year, so I am not at the store all of the time during the school year. Ken Maschka does however cover the store hours while I am gone, so we are usually alright there. This may cause a bit of a delay with a few things. First off, if we would happen to run out of a product while I am in Lincoln, it will take a little longer to replenish our stock while I am in school. I almost always come back to the shop every other weekend though to try an keep up. Second is that this may put a slight delay on our shipments, but we will give it our all to make sure that we are prepared and are capable of fulfilling your orders as soon as possible.
This does however present a few benefits. I should be smarter and a more capable businessman as my school year goes on. (Fingers crossed) Maybe it will help me improve the site also. And, we will be able to deliver to the areas along my road from Ashton back to Lincoln. Like I said before, I make it back almost every other weekend. So if you would like us to make a stop to deliver sometime, let us know.
School starts on August 20.
